Our Space

The Make Good Lab formally opened in the summer of 2019. Its design was a participatory effort with stakeholders across the UIC College of Education, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and alumni. These conversations informed everything from the tools and devices to the furniture and paint color in the Make Good Lab!

Another element that came from these conversations was the desire to install a community-designed mural to represent the College and the people who use the Make Good Lab. We worked with the Chicago Public Art Group and local artist Damon Lamar Reed to design a mural that reflects who we are and what we hope to do in this space. You can see photos of the mural on the homepage of this website!
